A Five-Minute Tajweed Routine That Builds Lasting Accuracy
A calm daily method for helping children improve Makharij, Madd and recitation confidence without overwhelming them.
Begin with one sound
Choose one articulation point rather than correcting the entire page. Let your child hear the sound, watch the mouth position, and repeat it slowly before placing it inside a word.
Focused correction protects confidence. A short, successful practice is more useful than a long session filled with interruptions.
Read one ayah three ways
First listen to a careful reciter, then read with the recording, and finally read independently. This simple sequence trains listening, imitation and recall.
Finish with encouragement
Name the exact improvement you heard. Specific praise such as ‘your Qalqalah was clear today’ helps a learner recognise and repeat good recitation.
